How to holster my gun?
The only way I've figured out is to do a melee attack which isn't very graceful. Any official way to holster your weapon?

I searched and everything seems to be for playstation (long press D-Pad) which does not work.

There's no way to do it, just wait until Ellie/Abby do it by themselves.

Sticky White Stuff: I use controller but I tried 9 and that seems to bring up the same thing the d-pad is for on controller. It does not holster it.

No problem! I wish the game had the option to do that, it'd be really cool haha
