My friend just mentioned this too. I am glad I did not buy this. I have had paranoia over blood effects failing to be ported properly ever since the Red Dead Redemption "remaster" released to pc.

This is a bug, they didn't remove it. Apparently blood effects also flicker from time to time, especially blood pools. Those effects are still on PS4 and PS5, i played it right now on Discrod with my buddy also playing it on PC.

Whether it is a bug or not, issues like these are rarely if ever resolved... which would mean the game's blood is downgraded intentionally or not...

Can you post a screenshot of the PC version showing this bleeding in your friends game? I have not seen it despite testing.

Yes, and with framerate capped to 30 or 60. Makes no difference.

Definitely a pass until this is resolved. This should have been the definitive version. Missing effects like Uncharted LoT.

Apparently it is also missing the brain chunks from headshots as well. It's a downgrade.

Not the end of the world nor does this make the PC port bad, but this probably needs to get fixed. Otherwise it's a slight downgrade from consoles.

Edit: I ended up submitting a ticket with Nixxes. Hopefully they can log the issue and fix it in a future patch.

Oh yeah, while you're at it... Let us compile all shaders at once if the user really wishes to do that. I rather sit in menu for 30~ minutes if it means no stutters for the entire game.

No, I don't own the game yet, still saving for it. Just judging based on initial coverage.

I was testing this before, it's still present in game. Like the Ps4 version, it doesn't work on certain corpses.
