Missing blood effects.
The original game had amazing animated blood trails streak down the character models from wounds. This effect is completely gone, test it yourself.

Why did we get a downgraded port?

EDIT: FIXED! Thank you to Nixxes! <3

And the game does compile shades on initial story start.

Oh yeah, while you're at it... Let us compile all shaders at once if the user really wishes to do that. I rather sit in menu for 30~ minutes if it means no stutters for the entire game.

No, I don't own the game yet, still saving for it. Just judging based on initial coverage.

That's how all rhe games should be, loading shaders on the fly is a terrible design.

It's like 1-2 mins. It should take longer.

:steamsad: I miss that effect. I really hope they will fix it. I loved that level of detail on ps4.

It only compiles some. See Digital Foundry's video on TLOU2 PC.
Removed/toned down blood effects
It seems like the blood effects have been reduced. The blood that runs down the skin and clothing and drips onto the floor is missing in the PC version.

I was testing this before, it's still present in game. Like the Ps4 version, it doesn't work on certain corpses.

Please review the videos closely. Most effects are there, but the fake fluid simulation is not.

I know it's a very minor effect, but it would suck if it was missing on PC.

TLOU2 was the only AAA videogame with physical blood driping from wounds

why would they remove it from the PC version wich is suposed to be the best
this is a picture from the PS5 version https://imgur.com/a/qgSMjVt the bleeding dosnt happen on PC

It is likely not intentional. I'm assuming it is a bug, it feels like something that a play tester would miss.

PC got the pg12 version, bring the Blood back from PS5
this is how it looks on PS5 https://imgur.com/a/qgSMjVt ,we get none of that bleeding on PC

Yeah I noticed the game lacked the detail settings first game had despite being ported by Iron Galaxy.
In here it was Nixxes which everyone expected to be creme de la creme, but bad SM2 port by them probably attributed to TLOU 2 as well which is sad.
hope they gonna fix it..
not buing this game until they dont did

I think Nixxes implented the shader compiler, they love their JIT compiler instead of doing a complete one, all games the compile shaders should do a complete compile, it frees up so many resources

Just bumping this for visibility.
