Did Joel become "gay for coffee"?
I still don't know if Joel just did a dirty joke to Ellie or he literally went to lend his body to get coffee in "pacific ways". :isitcoffee:

Nope, I did not interpret what Joel said in that way either. Just that coffee has gotten to be so unobtainable and rare for them that Joel was only able to obtain some for a premium price. That is all.

I hope you are right, though I wouldn't be surprised if the developers had seriously contemplated to make Joel to be fornicated for coffee.
