Both excited and a little anxious
Seeing the announcement of this makes me both excited and a little anxious. The teaser trailer and the screenshots altogether show a lot of potential for this game to be something very special, building on what made the first game so amazing, but also bringing it into the future with new mechanics and fresh ideas.

I loved the first game and really really wish the developer all the best. I have wishlisted this and will probably play it no matter what; I just won't be able to stay away. In the meantime, I'll be following this with much interest (and some trepidation).

The games announcement comes as a total surprise to me. I loved the first game too, particularly the seances, potato gun action and audio/music ambiance. In Sylvio 2 I did miss some of those things but the new audio/video recording mechanics were neat.

Possible spoilers for those that have not completed previous games I did not anticipate to see a new Sylvio game that seemingly directly continue the story? It is a bold move as those that have not completed Sylvio 2 will probably be very confused as to what is going on,

Personally I had expected that the next time I heard anything about the Sylvio franchise, it would be a remake of 1, or possibly remake of 1 & 2 combined into a single game.

Anyway this is very interesting, I'm looking forward to it :SpaceInvaders_Octopus:

This took me completely by surprise. Sylvio is one of my all-time favorite games. I'm very curious as to how this seems to continue from the second game's ending.

I'm the kind of person that usually waits until a good discount before buying a game, but this is a Day One purchase for me. Wishlisted. Followed. I'd pre-purchase this if I could.

Everybody in this discussion thread, said what I was going to say better than I could. Hesitant, 'cause I was pretty so/so on 2 after its early development stage being changed for the final game, but I'm still all about the first one (thought about taking it back out and trying to 100% it soon), so I'm in.

same here. going for 100% soon since the sprint feature was added it should be much easier.

anyone can see by my profile I'm pretty much obsessed with anything Sylvio related.
This will be top of my wishlist now. CAN NOT WAIT!!

I had no idea there was a sprint update. I'm definitely going for the 100 this weekend then, thanks for the information.

It truly is a great game. I didn't want to sound too harsh on 2, because there were things that I liked about it, too. It felt more like a point and click/walking sim, the demo though had me completely expecting something else.
same here. i just went back and played both sylvio and sylvio 2 (completing the latter for the first time) after hearing about this new one. if i had finished sylvio 2 at launch i probably would have concluded that the dev ruined his whole world at the end with nonsense, but i guess exploring that further in a sequel is interesting.
