Story is "low" even for Tales standards, but I would say the characters make up for it though (and F arc skits)
Gameplay is easy to engage with and fun, I would even recommend fighting bosses with 4 players if possible, it's just plain fun.
Though I would argue that the music is the most meh part of Graces, battle themes wise at the very least.
It's Sakuraba after all, usually like 90% of his stuff suck and are completely indistinguishable from each other, and the other 10% would be amazing. Unfortunately the ratio for this game seems a bit worse than average, but there are still a few I really liked (like What Appeared in Eternity's End or Mad Dance)
I just wish that future Tales games learned from Graces F and got rid of the TP system because it's just so outdated and makes early / mid game not fun.
its good but it has a flaw too normal attacks which i guess are called A artes should not be costing CC i NEVER used them there was 0 reason too
most of the future games did get rid of the tp system right?
Xillia has it, and Arise has it.
oh, never played xillia and it's been years since I played arise. didn't arise make normal artes and spells a CC type thing, but only healing artes cost mana? or am I remembering wrong
Xillia merged the CC and TP systems together.
All it really did though was make it a button mashfest because early to mid game you won't have the TP to really spam artes so you're using all that CC to use regular attacks.
Arise used TP for healing spells, but Orange Gels was expensive and gald annoying to farm up.
