in oul raye a password safe is blocked, in the european version you had to answer tortuz, except that in this remastered this one is a combination of numbers and they have not implemented a new clue, the old clue is still the "name of the merchant tribe"

The new clue is somewhere in town, I think the sign to the right of the Inn. The clue is how much Turtlez charges to use the Transport (though their wording is a bit more obscure).

Then those passwords are for the English PS3 version of the game. There is a guide on Steam with all the codes for this remastered version:

Also, I think the reason behind this change was that as the game has been localized in more than 4 languages. It's easier to have numbers as passwords which is more universal, rather than using words for each language. Word specific passwords equals more coding and testing and would require creating text input prompts for each language.
