2 - 10x Slower than 18 Ultimate?

Why is this version 2 - 10x slower than 18 Ultimate?
You have to tell it over and over to do things and this bl00dy programme is not only slow but aggravating; at least you could work round the bugs in 18.

Try dragging a video clip into the time line, it refuses; tell it to do it again and sometimes it does. Want to add a transition, good luck. have to tell it 2 - 20x to do it.

Tried to make a 59 second clip with 6 video clips some pictures, some text and 20+ transitions; Why did it have to take 8 hours to make it?
