I honestly didn't expect too much from this game, the whole play dice on cards intrigued me but then I played the demo and what actually grabbed my real attention is that the story is amazing which more or less plays out as a visual novel with choices, deaths and failure states.
I haven't really played (or consumed much Chinese media) to begin with, but all this mythology I have never heard about just makes everything so interesting to me. The commentary from the Fisherman (the DM in the background) is also quite funny.

Also do have to say the story itself gets quite brutal (Ch.2 spoiler)
R.I.P. Ji Yun, Ji Yu and Ji Feng :'( made me cry for an hour and also has quite some other dark moments but that definetly just adds to the fascination of wanting to see what's next. The failure states are also really intricate and detailed sometimes. Not just "you died" but several paragraphs of horrible things playing out.
The English translation - even though it's noted Alpha in the menu - is absolutely good, some obscure choices of words sometimes, but perfectly understandable.

The card art looks beautiful, and there is so many of it, even scenery you only see for like two paragraphs or so. I also haven't checked the artbook yet due to risk of spoilers.

The game itself does feel a bit janky with some effects, saving inside dungeons seems to run into issues and some of the effect text is really tiny but like those are the biggest issues I've came across.
