How to barrel roll?

'Do a barrel roll 20 times in 1 run'

I guess a 'barrel roll' is twisting in the air.
I did that several times but I don't know exactly how I did it!

I though it would happen when flying a bend and suddenly steering in the opposite direction.
But I can't do that whenever I want and somethimes I happend to do that when on the ground.

So I think I haven't got a clue what to do.

btw, I control the game by keyboard.

easy way is doing barrel roll one way. For example: full left, then right, a little left, right again, you'll get whole 20 in the first two free of obstacles regions.
