where is the pick axe?

I cant find a pickaxe any where in town.

The item vendor in the bar has pickaxes and fishing rods, next to the lady who give you a quest to gather ingredients and do the waitress job.

You can also get it from doing guild quests. There are quests later to get higher quality picks. Although I'm not sure they are necessary.
