Rarity Increase?

So I assumed that Egg Morphing was the only way to increase a girlmon's rarity, but I just had my pixie reach two stars by feeding her at Aalvin's Rest. Pretty sure it was my fifth time giving her her favorite food. So apparently that's an option? Has anyone noticed other ways of raising girlmon rarity?

I just talked to an npc in godtree's village and she tells you that being diligent about your rorimon's diet can earn you a star. I'm going to try this instead of eggmorph, I'd rather spend a few coins than have them to level reset

I've done Egg Morphing twice and although their levels get reset, doing it gives you an item that grants a ton of XP on use. After waiting to use it on the newborns, they were pretty much back to the level they left at. It could also be useful for a situation I'm considering. I just got Cait Sith and might want to replace Goblin in my lineup with her, so what I could do is Egg Morph Goblin, get the XP crystal, and feed it to Cait Sith to get her up to speed. Not a fan of the fetish, but as a gameplay mechanic it's surprisingly well thought out.
