I'd like to know as well, if there is a patch. I have tried with Kagura games, but it didn't work. I don't plan on staying on a Steam Deck forever, but it's all I got right now.

this game DOES have a patch, goto their discord from the store page, i'm working on a guide to installing the patch on the steam deck as it DOES work and is relatively easy.

Do not post that guide on Steam or it will get taken down, Steam doesn't allow anyone to provide a guide on how to install an offsite patch (even if it is to help others install it on Steam Deck), even trying to make a review with that information will get the review banned.

Just a fair warning.
ah ok, fair enough then
Some guides are still not taken down for anyone else interested and needing help for their SD

The method I personally tried and used for this game
https://steamcommunity.com/app/2307300/discussions/0/4142816719797703697/#c4142816945489674232

Alternatively the more complex method that involves more tinkering but might work better for games that won't play nice with the above

The kagura patches work on steam deck just fine. You just need to type in the path to the game folder manually because the installer they use can't see dot files.

Thanks for the links. Looks like a hassle though. I wish they just sold the whole game prepatched from their website or something. Would be easier than this.

The guides over complicate things with Q4Wine. Just, download the patch from Otaku Plan, rename the patch executable to patch.exe, move it to the game folder and then launch the game with the following custom launch commands. Once the patch is done remove the command and launch the game as normal.

cmd=(%command%); cmd[-1]=patch.exe; "${cmd[@]}"

Works 100% of the time, no third party stuff needed.

Glad you found the answer before I had to type it out. I enjoy playing games like this on the Steam Deck. It feels like a perfect use case.

use Bottles and make a Bottle for patching Kagura games as a Application. then click Run Executable, and open your downloads in a seperate window. drag the patch to the File Name bar and hit Run. itll run like it does on Windows.

As for finding the location, i usually have stuff on a SD card, so for me the pathline is
[{/}/Run/media/mmcblk0p1/steamapps/common/(gamename)]

just remember to click on the gamename the first time, ive had times i clicked on the wrong name, clisked off of it, and it turned into a bunch of squares, making me reinstall that game
