This is why there always should be a 'trial' version or something.
My specs:
CPU: Inte I5 4670K @ 3.40GHz
Memory: 16gb Ram
Graphic: Geforce GTX 780
OS: Windows 7 Pro 64 bit
AMD 8 core FX8350 4.2GHz
Nvidia GTX 670 in SLi
24GB RAM
I would suggest going to the game properties IN STEAM and verifying the game cache to make sure a file or two are not corrupt. It truly runs great in Windows 7 64.
This is a common problem with games from AIG. They build in some ridiculous dependencies that you must satisfy to make the game work.
This directory contains the pre-reqs:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyscraper Simulator\_CommonRedist
There are two listed - DirectX and PhysX. Run them both. You might already have newer versions installed. Doesn't matter.
EDIT: Reboot then try your game.
Where is the game failing? Be specific, please. If it fails while displaying a certain company logo, please provide the company name. That might give us a clue about where to kick.
I did this - and nothing... rebooted,, works like a charm ! yay! Thanks!
