How do I repair?

I'm playing single player and I want to fly closer to a repair depot to repair my ship. How can I?

The pilot AI does not yet know how to fly into a repair depot, you can either temporarily tweak it's priorities to assume control of the station or remove them while you repair.

If you're actually wondering HOW a ship is repaired you can read about it in the in-game manual under "Galaxy Info"

fly into the spacedock till you see the blue lasers, turn off shileds, hit TAB, go to comms, as for repairs, fly away, take more damage, lather, rinse, repeat.

i cant move my ship keys are assigned for speed at mouse 0 and 1 but dosnt work..so i cant reach the repair dock..

Hate to necro this, but I'm in SP, and the comms menu for the repair depot doesn't have any options at all, except to close transmission. Did I miss something, or is it a different comms thing than the science station one?

EDIT: nevermind, saw it was on the window screens.
