This is the perfect videogame template for an alien/nostromo recreation. or even prometheus. tell me this is moddable!

they didn't reach the Kickstarter Stretch Goal for Modding Support but maybe after the game is done.

The pulsar plugin loader exists, and seems to work. Not many mods exist for it, but writing them is easy.

i hope it ends up being possible for someone to mod in some sort of media player device station on the bridge.

something similar to the tablet device that can be seen in table top sim game.

Doing a FTL total conversion would rock life, at the very least be able to make Ship interior/exteriors and a few changes/additions the weapon system.

ship customization would be amazing. some of the ships i like what they have but i despise the layout of the ship to the point i want to use a different ship
There are a few mods for the game (and it's really easy to mod it, as it's been made using Unity3d). Most of these mods are not really interesting though: I made some texture packs (won't share as those aren't really good), there's also one or two translations available on the Nexus.

You could probably import 3D models from Sketchup as new ship designs, but IDK if collisions have to be remade or not. Long story short: it's easy to do, but time consuming. So, since the playerbase is quite low r/n (compared to heavily active modding communities), I doubt that we'll see any good mods made for it for a while.

Oh, one last thing: while the devs are generally ok with it, modding a multiplayer game (with new gameplay or content like new maps, new scripts) can be seen as hack by some players, so be sure to label your lobbies as modded if you want to play with mods!
