Cant interact with scrap

We have the cargo full with scrap, but we cannot process it. Is this a known bug?
2 people have nothing displayed when going to the scrap, one person sees it is scrap, but when he presses R nothing happens.

Loading the game again and picking up the scrap again does not solve the issue.

To process scrap the player needs a talent point spent on 'Component Upgrader Operator' or 'Item Upgrader Operator', and at least 1 processing attempt. Processing attempts are gained by engaging warp. Upon first loading/joining a game, the player will start with 0 processing attempts, and every warp will set the player's processing attempts to 3. To successfully process scrap, you must hold the given key (R for keyboard by default) until the indicator reaches the center.

Dumb question but is there a bonus for getting it on the green line? or is it always just 1 scrap?

the amount of processed scrap you get for every successful attempt is based on the level of the scrap component. There is no bonus from how you do it / where you land, just successful attempts and unsuccessful attempts.
