AOG Carrier: Lessor known secret area in cargo area floor.

For those that like the Alliance Carrier, a tip. As you enter the cargo bay area, you will see a picture by the Hidden cargo door to the left. Move the picture with your mouse by clicking on it and observe the floor behind you. A secret storage compartment with a lever to raise the ramp is concealed there, have fun.

It's a bit of a giveaway seeing as in Ship Inventory you can see the secret cargo slots, places where you can put contraband and illegal parts without the drone detecting it. But I guess some people don't know that there's actually a physical place for it. It's the same for the Sylvassi ship, but that one is a volumetric-display fake wall, not a picture tilt.

It is a hologram though, entirely 2D, so not volumetric and projected into thin air so no display. I am sorry, I am fully aware that it is considered terrible to correct people who use wrong words. But I can't help myself. It just makes me go "AAAAAAH" in my head until I point the error out.

Meh, I get the two mixed up. If it were up to me, I'd just call them all holograms and leave it at that.

I know that in other hidden areas a hologram is used to conceal entrances. I looked for such an entrance on the carrier with no luck but I knew it had to be there. I found the entrance by accident, I observed the picture move during a battle when I was rushing to restart the ship and investigated.

You can also pick up any contraband you have and hide in there with any cargo you want if you need to be investigated by the CU. We've been able to sneak Borthix into 448 with this method even with an inspection.

Zolaerla, That is nice to know, never tested that yet. I like capturing the ultimate carrier and installing the shield from the Grim, due to its fast recharge rate and low Q Field Rating. I suspect they changed something because the Caustic Avenger was once immune to boarding during incursions into infected space. That is why I liked it so much, immunity to the infection as well as better hull survivability.

My bois, and I usually steal the Caustic Corsair in A.O.G. playthroughs rather than using the regular Carriers. And the Caustic Corsair also retains the same contraband hold. Fun ship, and the large contraband hold/regular cargo hold is great for playthroughs involving constant ship boarding for quick cash.
