Report a translation problem
I'm sorry, would you happen to have some sort of screenshot or something describing this? I have my graphics on max, the rest of my crew has also been looking as well and we never see any graphical effects that show any probe points. Anything blue we've seen is scrap to be collected, but our scientist would shoot and get points/research at random, not by aiming at any specific place.

These screenshots don't do it much justice, it can be hard to spot sometimes, but other times it's easier as the particles move around slowly. Oftentimes shooting probes at a random object on an asteroid will fly near enough to capture the research, but it's not a surefire way to get the stuff.
