5 people on one ship, 5 people in a game

Ah, all of my friends bought it but we can only cram 5 of us in at a time. It would be cool if we could have a few more slots for people as general crew members or assistants to engineers or science or weapons that can help out with extra tasks, especially around the bigger ships.
I don't know enough people I like/trust enough to do a larger game, but really there's so much that needs to be done, that limit is very restricting.

The 5 players is about perfect for a usual DnD game, which this is a space dnd, but there's so much that needs to be done, it's quite frustrating.

Games with more than 5 people are possible with mods. But: There really is not enough to do for more than 5, once you got the hang of your role. Also the same reason applies here why online DnD games with more than 5 players are not really viable games: There is just one communication channel online and communication is key is this game. At some point people get frustrated because they cannot get a word in. And it gets worse when your surplus engineers or scientists get bored and start playing liar's dice and spam the comms... It is a funny gadget, to play with large groups, but in my experience not really a long term viable game solution.
There is really a reason that all those games with similar teamwork mechanics just have 4-5 players. Artemis has 6, but that is because it was mainly meant to be played together in actual LAN parties in someone's living room. Where spatial hearing works.
That being said, look here for the mods: https://discord.gg/cJGPhp
Looks like that invite is expired
Also, something like teamspeak could get past the single voice channel issue.
