The devs have stated that LOTS of stuff was left out of this weekend's open beta (which is more of a demo, really), so we're just getting a small taste of it, apparently. Hence, the "far less content".
Yeah VR is definitely not worth it for developers right now. Many companies that implimented VR are reporting anywhere from 35% to 60% losses in profit margins. Add that to the seemingly 35% to 60% loss in game content.... and it's just obvious the VR is not ready to move out of the niche market yet.... regardless of what the people who wasted money on VR sets want to believe (they will have to buy new ones by the time VR is relevent anyway).
so how is the game now, 1 year later?

"Yeah VR is definitely not worth it for developers right now"
Really? Please google "pc vr users number"
This is what comes out:
"How many VR headsets sold 2017?
For the first time since launching onto the market, over one million VR headsets were sold in a single quarter. Sony accounted for nearly half of sales, shifting 490,000 units."
OVER ONE MILLION in a single QUARTER - Please do your due diligence before commenting, I applaud the devs for adding VR support, that took just a few months, instead of waiting for the year 202X and then add VR support, where there would have been TONS of space VR games and would have lost TONS of sales.
Devs can add content forever! It takes only ONCE to add VR support and open your business to the VR sector, so devs please ignore the pancakers that haven't touched a vr controller and congrats for embracing the future of where the gaming industry is headed.
