how is this in VR?
thinking on picking this up for my Vive. I hear the VR is still buggy, but how is it overall? playable? Fun and Viable for a VR game?

no i have not played vr, just standard screen.

its good. its the full game. there are some bugs - but on the whole its alright. if you want to make it crisp and run on high settings you'll need a 10 series at least, id assume. If you want somebody that has played this before and has vr, then dm me if you buy it.

still really buggy
Ive only played it in VR. 12 hours and counting! One of the top VR games!
Its great when its working, it currently isnt for me and a bunch of people.
It was great two weeks ago. The last patch seems to have broken it for me and at least two of my friends. One with Vive and the other two of us with Rift. ( Sorrien up above is one of them).

What happened for both Vive and Rift is that the view of space from inside the ship didn't track head movements.

On Vive, my buddy reported that none of his controls worked.

On Rift, the ship interior would disappeer when viewed from the wrong angle.

When it was working right, it was terrific.

On the Vive I had issues even getting through the start menu until I used the mouse, and despite the game recognizing the position of my controllers, and what menu buttons I was pointing at, none of the buttons worked on the vive controllers. I was able to play in VR with a controller for a few minutes, but then I realized the game isn't exactly playable that way either. I last played the game in VR a month or two ago, and it worked fairly well then (and by that I mean at all).
Doesn't function at all for me. The view is locked to my sight, meaning wherever I look is the same background. Piloting is inverted and doesnt sync. Everything is invisable when Im not looking straight up. Completely unplayable in VR
I might refund then come back onnce VR mode is better. Thanks!
Ive put a couple hours into the VR mode, and it was pretty great. Only issue was I was the only player and had difficulties figuring things out via the help menus in VR mode. Definitely a game you need to play on the PC before you shift to VR.
