"Stay" Requirements Bugged?
Currently on my first run, but before I get any further than choosing to "Stay" or "Refuse", I'm trying to check off the preceding requirements before continuing to play the main story.

I don't have a whole lot of time in my day after work, so before I even got to that choice, I had to exit the game because I had to go to bed for work, etc. In the meantime, I did basically all of the requirements: collect the magnets, don't look in the oven, don't look in the vent, play a game, etc. I did the console game bit just now as I'm playing.

But then I get to the choice, and all the requirements except play a console game were marked with an X, as if I hadn't done them at all.

Is this a bug? Does the game not save that information if I exit the game early? This is very strange to me because at the same time, when I loaded in, I continued on from the mirror scene where I left off, so I thought things were fine.

I'll likely do a clean slate and attempt to get the requirements again, but it'll have to be during my weekend if I have to do it all in one session.

What I mean to get at is that at the moment, the game is not being very friendly to players with a tighter schedule than they'd like. Given the context of the game, I do admit that sounds a little meta: the game not being friendly to people with a job. It's actually part of why I ask if it's a bug. Because if it isn't and is in fact a feature... Okay. Fine. That's more than mildly frustrating, but I do like the game enough to try and set aside the time for it.

even to me doing everything at once gives me the X in the goal of not looking in the conduit, I can't in any way complete everything.

are you sure it was the console game that was crossed out and not the "finish main story" option?

if it's actually the console game you missed, just quit to main menu and reload the game, then do the console game before doing the card game. shouldn't take that much time.

Could be that the checklist thing is bugged if you close the game before you are about to open the door.

But there is really no need to follow the checklist anyway since it's the first time you played. The "alternative route" isn't implemented and you can't choose it anyway before you completed the game at least once.

I've had this issue coming back and them not being checked. Either way, you can't choose stay without finishing the game once.

yes but even to me it breaks the game and gives me X for no reason, I can restart as many times as you want, it's just broken

At the time I made the post, the console game requirement was the only one that was recognized and checked off. Everything else had an X.

Obviously I hadn't finished the main story yet, but I did everything else. Then I closed the game normally and came back later to do the console game and finish the prologue. When I did, the console game was the only requirement that was checked.

I solved on another pc the problem, it is really broken ahahah
I think the one check-mark for vent is also a bugged which it cannot be checkmarked because it claimed that I've looked in the vent, but I didn't look AT/INSIDE the vent....

Not sure what happened on your end. I finally managed to get through the whole prologue in one sitting, and the game checked off the vent for me.

Turned out it wasn't a bug, you just have to leave the oven alone in the very start. I just learned the hard way, haha.

how do you clear the "avoid looking in the vent?" Just really gotta pull the camera away even though it forces you to look at it? and I've not looking in it...

EDIT: Nvm, yup just had to get past the sauce

Its broke for me too. I started a clean run and even reinstalled the entire game and Im doing a playthrough right now and it has an X next to "refrain from looking in the oven"

I didn't even touch the oven.

And it has an X next to collect the refrigerator magnets, even though I literally did.
if you exit the game or go to main menu while youre in the run, the requirements will reset no matter what. So you need to stay in the game and not leave for it to work.
