I don't think refunding it is dumb. I did the same thing. I bought the game because I wanted something new to play, but then I realized it wasn't in good enough condition for a first playthrough. So, I refunded it and used that money to buy another game from my wishlist. This game isn't going anywhere—I can always buy it again later.
It's Christmas until January 6th.
two steps ahead (gottem)
You don't need to keep the date changed once the game has launched.
I don't think 15$ is going to get you very far on buying much, but then again, im not the type to refund over extremely petty fixable reasonings :) even moreso when it comes to indie game types, i want to see them take over and replace half the ultra garbage triple A games. But yeah thats just my opinion, not like I can force anyone to do what I want, you do you
Theres no removing back and forth.. its a time based event on your LOCAL system time, aka set the date to February or something, start the game, then have your clock go back to auto, it works
Everyone makes their own decision on this matter. The point is that refunding for this reason doesn't seem like a dumb decision to me as you say. I prefer to wait for an official solution before getting my hands dirty and trying to solve something that I don't even know if it could end in a bug that ruins my experience when playing it. The world isn't going to end just because I didn't want to wait a few days, I already had another indie game in mind and the truth is that I'm happy with my decision. I don't take my expectations off this game and for the same reason I prefer to postpone it until the developers fine-tune aspects like this.
So I think the discussions can be ended. I hope that the developers will add an option to turn it off for new players in the future. Thanks for the help people!
