How to Turn off Christmas Stuff? first time playing
I bought the game a few hours ago, just played it and there are Christmas decorations everywhere, which spoils the atmosphere of the game. Tomorrow is New Year's Eve and I would like to play a game on it

(I read that you can change the date on the computer but I would prefer to avoid it, is there another way available?)

I asked the very same thing, same answers looks like we'll have to wait the developers to realize this is a problem

Honestly, it's very annoying that you can't turn off these Christmas decorations, it spoils the atmosphere of the game and at the same time ruins my plans for New Year's Eve :< I hope they add the option to turn it off quickly

Do you know if the developers know about this problem?

change the date of your pc system (like june/july) - then the x-mas stuff is gone. its not a good solution but it works.

I hate this kind of thing in games. I've stopped playing games because they did something like this. Even worse when it doesn't go away. Halloween in Deep Rock Galactic didn't end until well into the following year because the devs didn't put in an end date and didn't release a patch for several months. I have other games that are stuck in seasonal mode because the devs thought it would be a good idea to put it in and the game was never updated after that.

I'm glad I played it when I did then, because yeah, I think it would be kind of annoying.

Well, this is annoying. especially when someone new buys the game and it spoils their gameplay

Changing the system date works BUT for some reason the pause menu becomes unusable and does not react to the mouse or keyboard at all
Does someone else have this problem?

I don't know, I haven't changed the calendar date on my computer and I certainly don't intend to because it may cause problems with some applications on the computer. I'm waiting for the developers to add options to turn off these decorations or the event will end.

Requested a refund over the issue. Hope seeing someone do that shows the devs this is a problem. I kinda just wanted a default first experience. Stuff like this should be saved for new game plus.

I guess I just cannot understand how seeing a wreath on the door or a small Christmas tree in the living room warrants not playing the game. It doesn't change the game very much if at all.

I mainly found the snow effects annoying. Also, Christmas was over a week ago.

But yeah. Change the month or whatever, start the game and switch time back. That'll disable it.
Bro it's January 5 ATOW, why is it still Christmas in the game ?

Its not just those, its players elf hat + all the presents on every single level too, pretty sure i missed a lot of player/mita info cartridges due to it. But yeah.. its extremely dumb to refund over something very simple to fix
