yes the dev should definitely give us the option to remove it since it's ruining the atmosphere

The devs including this with no option to turn it off is EXTREMELY weird. Please devs, emergency patch to toggle it off. Please.

Temporary solution is to manually set your PC's date to something that is not between December 21st and January 7th.

Hey, I figured out a solution. You can disable the Christmas mode by changing your system time. I rolled mine back by a month.

It's very simple to do on Windows 10:
- Right click on time on the right bottom of the screen
- Click "Adjust date/time"
- Uncheck "Set the time automatically"
- Then click on Change below "Set the Date and Time manually" label

A disclaimer, Steam didn't allow me to get back into this forum or even log in when my time was wrong, so beware that some online services may not work properly. As for going back, just check "Set the time automatically" again

nice but I honestly prefer it's an option in game not something external, but really nice temporary solution

Thank you. That'll work for now. Still hope the dev adds a toggle at some point soon, though.

Adding these without a toggle seems like a weird decision, considering how many people play through it for the first time these days, myself included.
I remember another dev did this and got pissed off when I recommended a toggle lmao. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying as hell when they add these goofy Christmas or easter cosmetics with no off button. Gonna have to put off my purchase now smh. And I'm definitely not changing my system time lol

Christmas is celebrated on January 7th in Russia. So, I think the devs made this event until January 7th or 8th.

Just came back to the game having played some before Christmas and definitely not a fan of this Christmas theme update. Absolutely should be a toggle. Having the constant snow particles in every room is really distracting and completely immersion breaking.

You can set a different date on your PC temporarily.
I do not know if the dev will fix this (since they are all asleep at the moment), but at least this should temporarily solve the problem.

Agree, did it for 30 seconds couple minutes ago and finally enjoy this game.
