Female player character?
Just finished the demo and loved it! :3

I was wondering, is there any chance to get to play as a girl in the future? I think that would bring in more players tbh hehe

edit: asking for more options to enjoy a game =/= forcing *that* stuff (whatever that means anymore)

dw guys, nobody is interested in taking your precious masculinity away, not like there's any left anyway <3

I just realized you’re the guy whining about us “ruining” the game by playing with mods. I shoulda have looked before wasting my time with you. I’m sorry to everyone else for speaking with this guy and adding to his nonsense, my bad everyone.
I need a girl to play as. I literally can not play this game without breaking down otherwise. Please. Doesn't matter if she's voiced or not.

Cause that is runing the game.

Then have bigger problems than game not having female main character.

Yup, the only right answer to "we want to have female MC in a game not meant to have female MC" is NO

Your so desperate to try to get people to engage with you, it's sad really. I mean you don't even own the game.

Why even come here, then? To this game... to this community...
This game already has tons of options, unlike Pong. Although, gaming has evolved a great deal in the direction of games that don't have options too.

If your ideal game is one without options, might I recommend "The Eight Game" from The Stanley Parable DEMO which is free on Steam :

Character Creation works well when it complements the game design. In games where player choice and expression are the primary focuses, whether that is social expression in a multiplayer game, or it is choice in story and/or character progression like in many RPGs.

Dating sims are good examples of games where character creation seems like a good idea, but for a vast majority of them isn't. No matter what demographic the dating sim appeals to, it is going to put you in the role of someone unremarkable. Their market is those who don't stick out, or perhaps stick out for the wrong reasons that they feel like they can't control and therefore are lonely as a result. In a world where romance in popular culture is displayed as something exclusive to the remarkable, dating sims gain their appeal by visualizing romance as something attainable for the unremarkable. To add a character creator is to add identity and make the unremarkable more interesting, which runs counter to the appeal.

MISIDE isn't even a dating sim though. It's a horror narrative experience about a socially isolated programming dude who plays an in-universe game called "MISIDE" to combat his loneliness. It is a linear single player story with minimal choice that impacts the narrative. The benefits of a character creator are minimal, but what about the costs?

The narrative, as it is told, simply only works with a pre-defined character. ...
That's all true, and while that last paragraph and sentence in the quote is true too, the thing is that the game uses the imagery of a dating sim as a bit of a fake-out - not very well since the trailer doesn't hide that there's something under the surface and that you're probably not actually going to be doing any dating, but it does still use the premise and mirage of being a dating sim, or at least some kind of social or friendship sim (since the "dates" don't entail any intimacy), as an alluring narrative facade.

Plenty of people can't even see past this even after they complete the game, and still want to marry someone who hurts others, acts on personal biases and prejudices, and eventually discards even her loyal subjects.

So, that facade would likely benefit from having a character creator at the start of the game. You could even show the main character as he is and give the player a simple option saying,
"Would you like to customize your character or proceed with default settings?"

It also kind of doesn't matter that the choices don't matter much in MiSide.
The Stanley Parable is all about how even games with many choices really only offer the illusion of choice because all of these paths have to be carefully created by the game developer. Deltarune on the other hand outright says that your choices don't matter.

If you aren't too indecisive than the entire first 4 minutes of Deltarune give you a character creator (and it WILL take at least about 4 minutes to get through) only to discard your creation and emphasize that no one can choose who they are in this story and that your choices don't matter. (And if you are indecisive, you will have spent much longer than 4 minutes on a character creator that ultimately doesn't wind up mattering to the story.) When The Stanley Parable does this, it seems to mean it, and when Deltarune does it... it might be challenging you to push back against the game ...or it might be serious - I don't know yet - but either way... that's some serious commitment to the bit and it really only makes the game better.

At least, in my opinion. I mean, I can play The Eight Game for hours on end but I do think that more options is actually better.

its not despise, the story is not made for a female protagonist, and people dont get it and think if would be as easy as changing the MC's 3D model (which you can do with a mod) when you have to rewrite a bunch of the story. Also its clear by reading the responses the people pushing for this do it only because its a sexual fetish for them, not out of interest in the lore of the game.
I am fairly certain y'all didn't actually play the game
The gender of the protagonist is literally irrelevant to the story
Maybe some interactions would slightly shift in tone (Mila's dialogues might appear more rude), but that's all.

ok so you are telling me stellar blade would have been just as successful had it had conan the barbarian as MC? because afaik Eve's sex is "never relevant to the story". Or the same for bayonetta. There seriously is a point at which i cannot but think you people are actually autistic and cannot comprehend the subtleties of the story.

They're saying that MiSide wouldn't be different. Way to ignore what they said though. Your blatantly arguing against something no one is talking about, you comparison is bad as I expressed earlier. But you have no interest in actually arguing like an adult, instead you ignore anything people say and purposely misinterpret what they're saying to try and further your point. That's why you won't actually address what they're saying and instead continuing with your unrelated discussion about Stellar Blade.
And what poit? It's about how players (males) want perfection, biuty in womens, what point to make women player? like lesbi?
