Christmas decorations

Hey everybody, i put the game down around Dec 30 and was patiently waiting for an option to be given to take off the decor, now that we are in the month of Feb. , has anybody who played recently tell me if we can take it off (turn it off)?

I was hoping by now they did but as I scroll thru topics/threads, nobody seems to give a clear answer. I'd like to finish my play thru (or maybe just start all over since i forgot stuff)

I saw exactly zero festive things during my playthrough, except for the Christmas tree doodle on Short-Haired Mita's chalkboard and the Christmas clothing, so I guess they automatically disabled.
