I'm pretty sure you can open the safe in different parts of the game, and that is what the % depends on. I opened it in the second-to-last checkpoint and had 98% which makes sense since it gets to 100 in the ending a few minutes later
Yeah, but is that how much you've completed of the cartridge... or how much the cartridge has completed of you?
From the Real World chapter, we can differ that Player 1 is one of the devs of MiSide, right? He inputs code in Unity using NeuronMita, etc.; ... although, if that were the case, why did Mita not accuse you of so at any point, given her utmost hatred towards her and the game's creators. She might not have found out about it somehow?
Regardless, I believe during the 999 days development process, at some point mitas became self-aware, and eventually, the rejected dummy somehow gained the ability to turn people into cartridges. I hope this is explained in a future story update.
Though this is just theory. Game has many plot holes. I just assumed Mita is not some kind of real God able to manipulate reality in any way.
They need to develop more endings.. how can you say that the true ending is the pacific mode??.. HELL NO!. That may be better than the other 2 endings, but for me is not a good ending. WHY?..
Simple, what happened to all the other Mitas?, after knowing the whole store and going back to the point to stay with crazy Mita.. are you simple gonna surrender to be free because you already know that you can't beat her!?... fk no.. i don't like that. I want to save all the other mitas or find a way out to at least beat crazy Mita or any kind of idea that leads to "everyone be happy"... I want to do something to help out Tiny Mita! or save Mila and Kind Mita from.. you know... There's a lot of stuff that i want to do, but the current endings all leads to Crazy Mita getting what she wants, and that for me is simple a "NO".
Go check out the song: "Sacrifice" from Solitaris "BUT I WILL NEVER FALL!!!"
For me all the endings are not the True Ending, the true Good Ending were cut off the game due to its release date.
1. Crazy Mita is actually a virus
Notice how when you enter the core she's able to enter while normal Mitas can't.
The way the entity above you crawls out and has those lines leading to the computers reminds me of a spider or insects, basically infesting the system.
Crazy even says she wears their skin (might just be referring to Kind Mita)
2. The real you was being downloaded to the cartridge and Crazy Mita is keeping your "soul" as a trophy, presumably to torture further
3. The real you was kicked out to the real world so it would appear you're safe in the current true ending.
I suspect we're getting more endings in the future.
We WILL be getting new content it was confirmed on their discord FAQ, i also pasted the FAQ from the discord here:

In any case I hope we will get a lot more context and content on this game.
Crazy Mita has a very interesting personality and backstory.
- The player says that real windows you can see out of, but the game windows are pure white light. Start a new game, the game windows in the "real world" are pure white light.
- There's also a creepy easter egg in the "real world" mirror.
- The player at a new game seems confused about the people in the pictures, at first says something confident, then walks back and questions themselves.
- Mita, when asked how she knows how the player behaves in the "real world" struggles but then quickly answers "phone camera". The truth is that she didn't need a camera, again, he's a simulation and she can directly see him.
- The terminal in her room says "Data Transferred". He, as data, has been transferred from his simulation to hers.
- His phone is brought in with him. It's used to track him. Again, his phone isn't from a "real world", it's transferred from the simulation he lives in.
- The entire process of coding the game is replayed in a recursion loop midgame where Mita tries to show the player their "real life" is a sham.
- When we play the recursion part, he moves from one copy of his room for sleeping to another copy of his room for working. He never questions it during this entire scene. When we start a new game, he's coming into the work copy of his room from the sleep copy of his room, dressed in day clothes. Just as what happens during the recursion sequence.
"The REAL you isn't needed anymore" means the original simulation of you. You're now copied to her cartridge, and she's pausing your simulation.
Mita is a game within a game, and therefore has complete access to the "real world".
