Pathfinder 2e Conversions
Is it easier to convert from 5e to PF2e, or PF to PF2e?

While I haven't actually done any conversions yet, I would suspect that there would be some oddities no matter which way you went about it. For example, the action economy in both is different. In 5e, you're going from a system where you have 1-3 actions (depending on how well you can make use of your Bonus action and if you have access to an extra action) plus built in movement, and each action can provide multiple attacks for higher level characters. In PF1e you have a Move action and a Standard action, and can spend both of them for multiple attacks if you have a high enough Base Attack Bonus. In PF2e, you have three actions which you can use for any action or set of actions that you wish, meaning that any character can make multiple attacks in a round, even if they have a low attack bonus.

As you can see, this means that many assumptions made regarding monsters from PF1e or D&D5e are quite different in PF2e, despite the basic statistics and skills being comparable. In both cases, I believe you can kludge them over by simply pulling the stats over to PF2e, changing Full Round actions to 3 Actions, Opportunity effects to Reactions or Free Actions, etc, and then comparing the results to the guidelines in the Game Mastery Guide to get the final level for the creature. It's not going to be perfect by any means, but it should give you something to work with if you want to expand your bestiary without spending a lot of extra money.
