There's mainly 3 types of guilds in online single player games. The lively one where the leader is chatty and recruits chatty members, this one is actually rare, and mostly packed into the few top guilds in an online game (where the members are often game junkies who play free online games 24/7). Then there's the quiet ones that's the majority of the gamer community (mostly only play the games in casual mode), where members only want the event rewards and want nothing from the "social" part of the guild. And the last one is the hybrid of the two, the types that have trouble keeping its members due to not everyone like a noisy/quiet guild, so it's hard to keep that balance. So my advise is, pick to create either the lively one (if you have the social skills to keep it lively as a leader), or just pick the quiet type where all you need is just to kick out inactive members, set the level limit to max level so you will only attract long-term players and if lady luck smiled on you, there will be strong members joining making your guild total power higher, which has no meaning in SoC for now since the only thing a guild need to maintain is keeping enough active members to do the events regardless their power.
