does damage reduction from equipment stack?

like if i have tarot whisper with 20% DR, 20% DR from block and buff granting 40%

does only the strongest type take effect or they stack multiplicatively?

it's definitely not additive, otherwise you could become invincible easily.
Pretty sure it's multiplicative, so 2 20% damage reductions would be 36% less damage taken.
