Because the major portion of the market for gacha games are in China, Japan and Korea (these 3 countries are usually responsible for 75% to 80% of the spending in these kind of games).

The game is developed in China, Hong Kong (Thus you have Chinese Audio, it's the original). And for Chinese game makers, they often camouflage their games to look like it's from Japan to boost sales within China itself, a marketing tactic (That's the 2nd Audio to prioritize, thus the Japanese Audio, and since they made a full Japanese version, why not a Japanese server to 100% perfect that camouflage? To be more specific, Japan have strict gacha laws, so they need a separate client and server to address to that). And like what Nosferath said up there, Korean are heavily addicted to RNGs (gambling), it's deep in their culture, so it makes them one of the best market for Gacha games (Thus the Korean Audio, though most of the time, Korean will have their own server due to certain laws in their country). As far as SLG (SRPG/TRPG) goes, it's been reportedly shown over the years that the genre only fully bloom or more accepted in countries that have a Chess Loving Culture, or chess literalised culture. Which is more concentrated in the Eastern Globe.

Yes, that doesn't answer why there isn't an English Audio in the "Global" version i know. The possible reasons starts with 1st, the developing budget, 2nd sales count wise in the English market and 3rdly, size and download budget for a mobile phone (they can't pack too many languages into a single client, thus they need to prioritize language pack due to the amount of regional users playing the game, and you'd be surprise how few English players are there combined in total, especially in compare with the rest of the Chinese players), finally 4th and most importantly, audio length. You'd be surprise how hard it is to fit a fully translated Chinese to English Line into the original Chinese Line slot, the Line expanded way beyond the initial spacing and needs heavy trimming, thus "localization" is needed and that may take more time and money than expected. So it may come, but it won't be the same release time as the Original Chinese version, probably a month to 6 month's gap as we've seen in some other games (yes, i know, some games took more than 5 years...).

I would gather that out of all of the options an english dub would likely be the least used as well even among the english speaking crowd. Most people seem to run the Japanese dub than anything else. So overall it would be a bit of a waste of resources to make a dedicated english dub considering its likely much less popular.

I would use an English dub even if it was bad, not because I prefer it, but because the game is really bad at having subtitles outside of story cutscenes. The various battle soundbites, after being summoned, unit upgrading. Only the bond screen shows them and there's no reason for that.

As for why they don't have an English dub, the answer is always money. It's not going to get more people to play the game or spend, so it'd just be a bad investment. They won't even proofread half the dialogue, they're not going to hire actors, not even non-union ones.

Well i never said that nobody uses english dubs just that of the options they are likely the least popular and that is the important bit. If it is a feature that only a small portion of the population would care about is it really worth investing in? Its worth remembering that its not just about upfront costs too since its also a recurring cost and headache that crops up when you release more characters.

There is also the drama that crops up in these kinds of games all the time where voice actors get canned from jobs because they did something or said something china doesnt like. The more actors on the payroll the more chances of that happening. Especially if they are from the west and have views that clash with mr Pooh.

I think this is an issue with VA's themselves and less about the money. Snowbreak couldn't find any Eng VA's either, despite trying. Granted that game is rather.. unique. Nonetheless the VAs have gone all political, so will probably hate Sword of Convallaria. To see how bad it is, Mihoyo fired 2 VAs ( voicing Feixiao/Lynette and HuoHuo) because they told people to boycott the company ( they are working for) because Natlan did not feature racially diverse characters, and after getting fired, a 3rd VA went ballistic

Literally every single example posted in that has nothing to do about the games other than complaining about minorities or women. Darkest Dungeon is listed because it has women fighting in the front lines one of which is a black. The entire list is just condensed butthurt from a bunch of deranged lunatics mad that games arent bigoted anymore. EVERY single argument is "minorities exist and thats BAD" which they think is some kind of assault on humanity.
