Choices in story locked?

Wondering if you pick something you are locked to it, can you at any point re-play bigger choices? Can you re-play smaller choices? There are parts that does not "branch" that I would like to see the other side of.

When I got to my first ending, there were a series of choices that led me to one ending, and I wasn't allowed to go back and view the other ending without replaying 2/3 of the game. I hate it. There wasn't even anymore battles or mercenary management, it was all cutscenes. You have to use the beacon system to go to a chapter so you don't have to replay everything, but you're going to be replaying a lot at least and with different stuff.

i ran into a part where i had two choices but one was locked. is that because i didnt pick something earlyer?

It gets unlocked when you play through the one that isn't.

Yeah, there are from what I see, conditions to get certain endings because you did this extra objective, or in a smaller part of the chapter, you picked one option over the other.
There are things like factions at the beginning, wish that was more clear that you locked yourself to one faction.

I did some choices where if I had a save option I would go back because I did certain choices by mistake or when clicking back to the screen and it picked an option.
