Critical battles in Spiral

Do they need to be done right away? I am very underleveled atm and don't wanna screw myself over.

There are event battles that are mandatory that you have to do before you advance the week, and then there's the optional battles that show a time limit. If the battle gives points towards a goal or faction, it's still possible to achieve that goal or gain points in that faction. I failed a stage goal once and I don't think anything happened? If you fail to do something on time, I don't believe there's any penalty for not doing them, but several give Destiny Traces rewards on top of completion rewards, especially if it's labeled as a trial. I generally want to do things sooner rather than later, because one time I put off stages that had a week or two left to them, and then I ended up having to choose between stages that were going to expire and I missed out on finishing the other. Nothing bad happened, but I could've got some extra stuff for it.

Ah. I didn't know there was a battle limit for the week. I was just zooming through it. I thought that when a main mission popped up, it had to be done right away. But it can just be put off to farm for more stuff.
