Eldritch 2 devlog
I've been working (in my free time) on Eldritch 2 since early 2023, and I started keeping a weekly devlog a few months ago: https://www.dphrygian.com/wordpress/?cat=8

Eldritch 2 is a side project; I'm working alone and I've got a full time job at another company, and a lot of Real Life to deal with. As such, I don't have a clear timeline for Eldritch 2's development or release, but I don't expect to finish it before 2026.

I'll put up a Steam page and probably eventually release a demo for it when there is enough final-quality art and content, but it's not there yet.

In the meantime, subscribe to this thread if you want to be notified about devlog updates, and feel free to ask me about Eldritch 2.

Edit (28 Mar 2025): The store page for Eldritch 2 is now live, and devlog posts will continue in that game's community. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2279280/Eldritch_2/

Oh, very cool. Just installed Eldritch again on a whim, checked the discussions randomly and found this. Love the idea of the imsim hub in-between dungeons.
Keep up the good work, and good luck with Real Life™!

Eldritch is one of my all time favorite games! I am so happy to learn a second one is in the works. Every year around Christmas I usually play it all over again because that was around the time when I got it many years ago. Take your time, I will defiantly purchase the game once it comes out and don't mind the wait. Keep up the good work :) :creepybug:

Stiff upper lip, we'll get through the next four years as long as we help our less fortunate friends. Love will triumph over ignorance and hopefully the price we pay won't be too high.

Man this is great! Eldritch is still one of my all time favorites.
Just one plea, if I may: could you make it available outside of steam as well, like, on itch or gog?

Yes, I intend to release Eldritch 2 on Steam and itch. There are some online features which will only be available on Steam. (And as always with our games, the Steam version will be DRM-free.)

Not currently, maybe not ever. I'm extremely prone to VR motion sickness, so I'd probably need someone else to do it; but also I think a lot of the game would have to be re-designed to intentionally support a more stable VR experience. My primary hardware focus is making Eldritch 2 run great on Steam Deck.
