Confirmed, GOG version is BETTER. The AOD has reflections in the GOG version
Confirmed, GOG version is BETTER. The AOD remaster has reflections in the GOG version, while in the consoles and STEAM version it has no effects. This video is GOG version.

Ah... it's been a while. 😊

Yeah, no worries, I'm sure we'll also get that version soon enough (and I don't play AOD first anyway).

that is not always the case

for example Thief on gog has the widescreen fix, steam does not have this.

Yeah, because Thief is not actively worked on and GoG applied that fix themselves. Something you, yes even you, can do.

That's a fanmade patch, not an official update. And GOG's Thief fix is way obsolete and doesn't fix the FMV playback, so it's not like it's playable out of the box either.

Mod it or it's lost, remember the last time they updated and could of lost the whole Epic Version if it wasn't in the mods.

Man I love it when versions of new games on PC digital storefronts are inconsistent NOT
But at least we know the that effects are there and working after all ...just on the GOG version. They'll probably patch this in a few hours if they haven't been notified already

Not if the last remaster is any indication. Sadly. It'll take a few days.

Yep Aspyr have done it again, releasing different builds on PC storefronts. The epic store version has no achievements but the original trilogy does. The Gog version has reflections in AOD but steam & epic do not. They claimed it was a mistake last time where epic got the superior version. Lightning dosn`t strike twice .This is a deliberate move & a shameful one from aspyr to make people buy the game again to get the best version.
