German subtitles are different to voice lines
Not sure if this is only a problem in TR4, but the subtitles in the German language version are very different to what is spoken by the voice actors. It's like someone just translated the original text without checking what is actually being said. Very noticable in the tutorial section with Werner. The last remaster didn't have this problem :(

Sorry but I don't think it is unreasonable to expect the subtitles to match with the dub, especially since they are enabled by default. Not a big issue since you can disable subtitles (or just play in English lol), but I think it's still something they should fix.

In Spanish the same thing happens: dubbing and subtitles are different, something that did not happen in TR I-III Remastered

Yeah, none of these subtitles are shorter or convey the same meaning, they are pretty terrible. Even if they couldn't reuse subtitles from the original, it probably would have been faster and cheaper (unless they indeed just ran the English text through DeepL, which is a distinct possibility judging by the quality) to get a transcription of the VO done.
Why pay a translator if a perfectly fine translation already exists?
I hope this gets updated.

P.S. Flares in the inventory are translated as "Leuchtgeschosse", which is incorrect as well.

Yeah there are a bunch of those mistranslations, the funniest one I found was "Katzenanzug" which sounds kinda cute lmao

Sounds like Lara should be wearing cat ears and a tail!
Honestly, that one in particular gives me bad machine translation vibes. A human should have understood the difference.
