If you're going to brag about doing something extremely stupid... pre-ordering... don't be surprised you get a bit of 'guff' over it.
There are people who are excited about going to the pool... then there are people like you excited to pee in the pool. People are telling you that's wrong. Your come back is that it's your body, there is chlorine in the pool, we should mind our own business and we're mega gay if we can't handle girl pee in the pool.
Maybe don't pee in the pool!
...
Maybe next time you'll rethink peeing in the pool.
Ok... TR 4 is my favorite classic game. Am I allowed to criticize the practice of pre-ordering or do I not because it ruins your vibe?
You... really shouldn't be calling others 'weirdos'.
You could had created your own topic to talk about why preorder is not good or is bad or why you preorder, etc, without derailing the topic to say why it is bad.
At least my 'derailing' is still about the topic.
To steal someone else's response:
What am I losing by waiting? A great trilogy of games that I played as a kid with my brother and have good memories of it. By that logic we should all wait for every game we want to buy to be on a huge sale since what's the difference between playing something on release or after
I'm not even complaining, I enjoyed talking about it. I'm just pointing out that "I" am on topic here, about pre-orders. You just don't like that I'm against them.
Yes there was. Do you not remember the design changes of certain levels? Solomon's Folly for example? The game was still a work in progress at release with assets they were still working on. The game should have been delayed, but they gave the release date as "Lara's Birthday", Feb 14th and they decided to release it... ready or not.
And guess what, they're doing it again. If you want to bet they learned their lesson and will actually have it finished this time, good luck.
Believe it or not I hope it is.
EDIT: You probably know this, but fictional character Lara's Croft's birthday is February 14th (Valentine's Day) and for some dumb reason they feel its vital marketing to release the games on that date.
You aren't losing these games by waiting. The point is to make sure they are finished and not glitchy at release.
My experience was ruined because I had faith they'd do a good job with the remasters. Instead I pre-ordered to be an early access beta tester.
Months of patches resulted in the game that SHOULD have been the release state. I'd have nothing but praise for the original remasters if I had waited. Instead I have that negative experience. First impressions are important for me. If they're not for you go ahead and risk it.
PS: Anyone REMEMBER THE INVISIBLE EFFING KEYS!?
You people have short memories about what a slop fest the original remasters were.
We can go back and forth like this all day...
You gave your opinion but you dont want to give your opinion, you wantt to change people opinions and want to win and to me there is nothing to win (or lose) here other than time as "to me" this game existing (despite not released yet) is already a win.
Lol, do you know the concept of "diving" in football? Cause that's what you're doing.
I can't force you to do the right thing, as many people including myself, often have to learn the hard way.
If you're under any sort of impression that I'm trying to convince people to not eventually buy this, then you're mistaken.
TR IV is a great game, its my favorite of the series and it alone would be worth the price. Its just a question of whether the remaster will be worth the price at release or if it will be a work in progress... again.
The most exciting prospect of the original trilogy was the possibility of them going on to remaster TR IV. That was before release. Now its a case of how long do I have to wait after its 'finished' before its 'worth' buying. I truly hope its day one, but I'll be waiting either way to see.
You just called us all gay....
Youre taking this very personally.
