They aren't totally remastered like the TR games. They're just cleaned up a little. Little more than a re-skin.
??? How's that different from the TR remasters? You get new textures, different lighting, new character models and some QoL features. I guess they didn't give them new controls because the old ones aren't as much of a barrier to entry, but other than that it's pretty much the same deal. Or am I missing something here?
I mean, if you don't like them gameplay-wise, that's a different conversation, but it's not like they changed anything about the Tomb Raider games either, other than the new control scheme. Same games, just reskinned to be slightly prettier.
OP, if you're unsure just wait for a deep discount. And keep in mind that SR1 and 2 were made for PS1 and PS2, respectively - they don't play exactly alike, kinda like TR4/5 vs AoD (except SR2's not as busted as AoD).
