You can win three times, and play as much as you’d like until then. We figured with the publisher that it was for the best, three wins mean you’ve understood the game pretty well and we don’t want you to get bored with this limited selection of cards (there are only 21 out of 110 cards available in the demo!)
same. i have to make sure i throw or just alt F4
that didnt stop people from putting in dozens of hours in balatro demo myself included. just playing the tetris portion for some would be plenty of fun. its the main reason i picked this up: tetris with style
Disappointed this wasn't called out when the demo was released. I would have tried different things instead of just constantly trying to beat the boss without trying new strategies etc. I avoided the river cards and buildings as an example so I don't know any of those mechanics since I thought I would have time to test those out later. My demo experience is basically just watchtower and farming.
Don't tell anyone I told you this, but you could, you know ... delete the save files (dig in the appdata > Local folder on your computer)
Thanks to you, my wife was able to play the demo. This is a Day One purchase for us, cant wait for the official release!!!
Surviving the boss counts as winning in the game! The system is a bit confusing I guess, because enemies stay at the end, but just like in other games, if you end the combat with some HP left, you're the winner
