Needs a tooltip ingame because I have not figured out what causes it to trigger

I'm not sure you could have given a more useless response.

Hello, aligned means on the same row or column. Look for the little dots that pop around the piece, they should you what they consider as "aligned" (same goes for the range)

Hello

I thought that it meant just directly adjacent to. As someone whose mother tongue is not English, I got quite confused when I had a red camp in the bottom right corner and then at the very end dropped another red at the top right corner and it got bonus soldiers. Did not think aligned was meant to be across the entire map.

Great game and with just a few more active choices could be great! I love that there's a "gamble a random level 1 card", but I wish it would be that game takes a random (you can game this) and give you 2-3 choices, instead of just any random stuff. I had a run where I didn't want more resources and clicked it and it was just a dead card to me and resources would have been better. I'd like if you could instead forgo taking resources to upgrade and get a meaningful choice swap instead of the resource boost.

Those two (aligned meaning entire row/column) and that are my only two "gripes" with the game so far. :)

read a dictionary
since you brought that up, the Oxford dictionary also give a definition of "give support to (a person, organization, or cause) which could easily lead people to misunderstand this function (especially people who don't speak English as a first language like OP). Nevertheless, thank you for proving that no matter the year, slack-jawed mouth breathers are still capable of typing.
