eliminating landscape when starting new Act

I play on PS5, so that is why it doesn't show I own the game.
When you start act 3, you have to pick a landscape to eliminate. But on each of the cards (Plains, Mountains, Mountains etc,) for you to choose from, it states that you KEEP the landscape if you choose that one. But also, at the top of each of these cards, it shows the slash symbol thru that particular landscape icon indicating that you are eliminating it, I guess.
Reading the cards state the exact opposite of what it will do if you pick that card. It will eliminate it like it suppose to, not KEEP it like it reads.
This has messed me up a couple of time.
