Anyone Else Seen This ... ???

Hi Folks!

I've been meaning to ask this for a while now. Does anyone else get a message on start-up, saying, "You'll need a new app to open the ms-gamingoverlay link." ?

I have no idea what it means, but clicking OK makes it go away

I suspect that performance is slightly poorer since I've started getting the message (a few more 'stutters' and 'freezes'), but nothing game-breaking. All the same, it's beginning to annoy me.

So, anyone got any ideas as to what it is/does, and how to get rid of it permanently?

When your starting up windows or omsi? if its omsi check the plugins folder if you own gpm there will be a couple of things in there for that addon, though I always delete them.

If its windows then it might be the xbox game bar try turning it off, press the windows button then settings and then gaming.

Cheers, Jimbow. It's when I start Omsi. Unfortunately, your fix regards GPM didn't work for me

I'll just keep ignoring it and hope that it'll disappear as easily as it appeared.

Many thanks, Jimbow. One of the solutions on that link got rid of it. One less annoying thing on Omsi ... for now, that is
