Is there an EASY scenario to download?

I have tried to download twice from the OMNI -World scenario list. I got close on both, but was somehow stilll missing stuf, so no dice. I was wondering if you guys knew of any REAL EASY Download scnarios that I might try. I own Hamburg and 3 generations as well as OMSI 2 (but not 1). I am brand new (about 10 days now) to OMSI, and don't consider my self very computer literate. If you know of any that would fit this categoy, please let me know. I have tried to find them myself, but do not really know what to look for. Thank you in advance for trying to help me.

I imagine scenarios you are referring to maps which is how it is called in general where you are going.You have the map of Hamburg that TS would be stage but map here.I think clarified this it is best that you go through Steam, guides and one you recommended maps, choose one and you download it.I recommend Szcein which is real and is not bad.And it is quite simple to install.

OK I will check that. I WILL use the correct terminology and appreciate you pointing that out for me, Yes, by easy, I meant a MAP (lol) that is "quite simple to install." So THANK YOU for the recommendation, and I will go and have a look at Szcein. Thank you MJasper, It seems you are always helping me.

When installing maps put all the extra files (i.e Splines, signs) the map needs to work in an extra folder, that way you can simply put everything on a fresh OMSI install and save yourself alot time when installing maps, since the extra files will stack up really quickly.

I'd keep the maps somewhere too, that way you know which ones you alrady have the extra files downloaded for.

Also most of the community is german, so you should check out the mod section in the German forum for omsi when looking for content. I think you'll do fine with google translate.

You only additional thing you'll have to download are the missing objects. It comes with an english readme too.

OK I am trying to install/download for Sczein. It looks terribly complicated. I am not sure if I have to just downlooad ONE filw or ALL of the things listed at the bottom of the page. Wow!

Well I tried this. I got everything downloaded and installed. I THINK I followed the directions, but apparently I did not. THe route loads in OMSI 2, but all I see is a blue sky. This is the same situation I had 3 or 4 days ago when I tired this> I don't know what to do next. Or what to try.

Returns to the map you want to download, and unzip with RAR, so are you the same folders as the game, MAP, VEHICLE, SCENARY OBJECT and any more.When you have those folders of the map that you just download picks up and copies directly to the game where is installed.Comes in the game and on the menu, at the top right makes you a photo of the map.Below you have three options, then click in the Middle, load from zero and seeks the map you've downloaded.If after loading this map and a position you can see the blue sky nothing else, it is that you are missing more files.

You have something missing if you have the blue sky ... try running the map through Map Tools , it will let you know what is missing.

After many stressful hours, I have this map successfully loaded and ready to play (I think). Map Tools id it. I just kept moving things back and forth and back and forth - the missing numbers kept going down - till finally there were none.. Thanks, Mr. Train and Bus Driver, LMasper, and everyone else who helped me through this "ordeal"!. I am grateful.

LOL I thought it was too good to be true! The map loads fine, and I can place a bus on it. After choosing a timetable successfully, I am unable to get the front of the bus display to show my terminating location. The line displays, but my choices for the terminating location have nothing to do withthis map. I obviously am either doing something wrong, or have some missing files (Map Tools says no missing files). As a result, ni oassengers will board my bus. I have confiirmed this phenimenon for several lines, all with the same result. Does anyone have any ideas?

If I explain well.Within the map select a bus, but when you choose it you have to see this.You have a screen where you can get a picture of the bus and puts you below brand, model, free it's color, and deposit.The deposit has to be the same as the map.If these in Berlin you have to put on the bus deposit Berlin.Cuando already estes with that place and within the map, you can now start to make route.I recommend that in the map when you're already ready to play pressure ALT on the keyboard and there is a drawing that puts 92.Pues pichas and put on the line above a number, 92, 90... whatever and below choose a destination.

The map is an add-on, and i don't see it's name (Szczein). I DO see something I do not recognize (something like Dreister) - something like that - But NOT the map name which I shold see. Anyhow, I chose it - nothing! Thanks for the reply Sir.

Do you have the hof file for Szczein in the directory of the bus you chose to use? That could be one reason you can not find the right destinations

No. I cannot find the appropriate hof file. WHat I do have (that came with the download scenario) is Grundorf_Mobitec.hof. That could be correct, but I think not - since this has nothing to to with Grundorf. Further the list of terminating points are all grundorf and hamburg and Berlin - None for the route I am trying to run. I think it is a "bug" by the developers of the scenario - I think they just included the wron one in the latest file, whihc is 4.1. However, i do not have enough knowlede to state that definitively. I'll wait for someone to point me in the right direction, or I will just delet all the stuff that I have already installed. It really looks like a fantastic route though - I am sincerely hoping I can get it to work.

It should be called: Projekt_Szczecin.hof
And you should find it in the vehicle-folders of the three MAN-Busses.

Also when you choose the map it should be called: Projekt_Szczecin
