There are bunch of Tutorials how to example: Install Maps in Omsi 1/Omsi 2 also most Maps have readmes/install instructions included or in the official thread.
You just have to learn it once, once you know it, it's easy to install a Map because it's always the same procedure.
Take your time to read and understand how to install things, it's not that hard to extract files into a folder.
When you download Bowdenham V4, you probably end up with a .rar file.
Open the .rar file and navigate to the folder where you end up with loads of other folders, like: Bowdenham V4 documents, maps, vehicles and so on..
Select all of these folders, you can do this by clicking and dragging you mouse or by pressing ctrl + a and copy all of these folders to the main OMSI folder.
Your main OMSI folder is located in the steam installation folder.
In my case, this is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\OMSI 2, but according to your own preferences, this can differ.
If you don't know where your steam installation folder is located, open steam, go to the top left corner and click on steam and then click settings.
Go to the downloads section and click the button under installation folders.
You now end up in a window where you can see wich folder steam uses to install your games.
Now navigate to this folder and place all of the previously selected folders in this folder.
When you are asked if you want to overwrite existing files and folders click yes.
Now we're done with this part, its time for the second part.
In the folder Bowdenham V4 Documents, open the Bowdenham V4 read.
On page 5 you'll find ''Links for required add-ons'' .
There are 5 different download links, you have to download and install them all.
The installation of those downloads is practically the same, with only a little difference.
The .rar files you end up with contain a fonts folder and a folder with the name of a bus.
The fonts folder is easy, just copy it to the main folder of OMSI, just like you did with the bowdenham V4 map and when asked, replace existing files.
To install the bus correctly, just open the vehicles folder in the main OMSI folder and copy the bus folder to this one, for example: MB_O530_G, copy to OMSI 2/Vehicles.
For these buses ''Mercedes O520, O530 & O503G V2'' make sure you download them all.
There are 3 different download links on the webpage, so you will have to download those 3 separately.
Now install the 'leitplanke 1.0', in this case you end up with a sceneryobjects folder, just copy this folder to your main OMSI folder and overwrite existing files.
When you have installed all 5 buses and the leitplanke, there remains one thing to do.
You may have noticed that the stadtbus O305 has no link, thats because it is payware.
If you want to, you can pay and download this from steam.
If you dont want to buy this, there is a simple fix you can use, without this fix the map will not work because this bus is required for the map to work.
Go to http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/files/file/5086-bowdenham-ai-lists-without-o305/
and download the files.
You end up with a .rar called Bowdenham Without.
Navigate to the folder where you end up with a maps folder and a readme.txt.
Now copy the maps folder to your main OMSI folder and click yes when asked to replace the existing files.
Now you should end up with a fully working Bowdenham V4 map.
Have fun driving :-)
PS. When downloading Bowdenham V4 i noticed the add-on buses where included with the download.
You might try skipping step 2 and after the installation of the map, only intall the fix for the stadtbus O305 and after that, try loading the map in OMSI.
If you end up with errors then go back to step 2 and install all of the addon buses and 'leitplanke 1.0'.
Also, dont forget to install the repaints pack, found here: http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/files/file/5025-bowdenham-v4-repaint-pack/
These contain some nice paint jobs.
For installation, just copy all folder to the main OMSI folder.
No, there is a map called sceneryobjects in the .rar, next to the readme.txt.
Just copy the sceneryobjects folder to the main OMSI folder and overwrite existing files/folders.
The three MB citaro busses load up but the textures inside dont...like all the buttons, speedomiter etc. Does anyone know were I put the 3 PNG files I get with the update?
So go to OMSI 2/Vehicles/MB_O520/Textures and place the three files there.
Do the same for the MB_O530 and the MB_O530_G
Appriciate all the help man :D!
