i think the only way it will happen if a group is set up on steam for example ( I would join) and show that to OMSI 2 creators to show demand for it.

Well, OMSI is run by a very small team (I think only Marcell, correct me if wrong), and MP takes a lot of work. It would require a new engine, because the old one wouldn't have the optimisation, servers would be required, major game code changes. I play the MP mod for ETS2, however ETS2 is already a very solid game. OMSI 2 is very tempremental, so Multiplayer would be near impossible.

This topic was discussed many times, it isn't possible to make without changing something the program (unlike ETS2). And even than, it's obvious that OMSI couldn't handle it anyway (with the current engine)...

i have said for ages a multiplayer needs to exist. All it takes is someone to approach the creators and ask them and then dreams might come true...

"Sadly the develop of OMSI Multiplayer has stopped.

These days, our server was being attacked by a team. They have tried a lots of work to steal the code of this project but failed.
Later, they gave up and started to attack our server, which made our server could not work properly for more than 24 hours, and the attack is still increasing.
We did not provoked anyone and they just want to steal our code and use it to create their own project.
Our developer kept on developing this project but just received these kind of thing, stealing and attacking no limited.
Under the circumstances, we chose to close the project at 5/1/2015.

We will focus on operating server in SAMP, MTASA, GTA-MP, FiveM and so on with our HuiCheng Gaming."

Have a look at the Advanced Omnibus Driver (AOD) software and app. I lets you set maps, buses and control IBIS, ticket-sales, doors and more. A multilayer-mode is in development.
