Report a translation problem
Ive played with french, british, and a few germans... but not really ever another american.
I don’t speak German either, I use google translate on my phone and camera the game.
I have over 600 hrs in omsi2 and it’s easily the best simulation of buses out there.
Agree,,,, it was hard for me (an american) to play base game. I almost exclusively play chicago or that very popular poland map/mod with busses ive taken the time to learn, or the chicago bus.
Very amazing simulator... I just wish it was more popular; and not only over the pond.
To be fair; the ticket system aint hard until you change between localisations. (Like from american to german, then german to london, etc... at least for me and my limited experience)
But its a hell of a grind for a company....
so who knows, prolly wont ever happen.
Try this.

I have it on Apple on my iPad. (You need to go to Apple app)
It works in real time with the game! Open doors, take money dispense ticket etc,
I’ve not had a problem with it. It’s also free and very clever.
Even shows speed.
I have Chicago DLC. Pity it’s only a couple runs. Plus of course you don’t even handle the money! Lol
Get London, Yorkshire , West Country, Lincolnshire as very good maps.
I have about 500 buses in total that I can use on other routes.
If you want a very good bus that has approx 120 variations in one! Then get the
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2725480/OMSI_2_Addon_Citybus_o530/
It has a bus ticket machine that you can switch to English
All the setvars are ticked by way of a tablet -left of driver seat- you can have (120 variables of one bus) it’s a superb bus.
Check it out
Vehicles represent city and suburban types (solo, CNG, Ü, MÜ, L, LÜ, G, GÜ, G CNG) with realistic 3D models, textures, and sounds. With Euro 2, Euro 3, and CNG engines. Versions differ in length, door arrangement, engines, and gearboxes. Buses have adjustable mirrors and a dashboard. Realistic control panels (two types) and a ticket printer manufactured in Poland (available in English, Polish, and German).
Realistic sounds for 8 engines: OM 906 hLA (E2), OM 906 hLA (E3), OM 906 LA (E2), OM 906 LA (E3), OM 457 hLA (E2), OM 457 hLA (E3), OM 457 LA (E3), M 447 hLAG (CNG), and 4 gearboxes: D854/D864 and 5HP/6HP.
Regardless of mods you need the base (German) game and that’s what they don’t like
But I get what you mean.
I just dont know why there isnt.... any american focused company. The closest ive found is one in mexico and then the uk ones... everybody else is just french and german for the most part.
But a complete lack of american bus mods.
And its not like busses arent popular over here... both in geek form and actual use case form... I mean look at the NYC transit system... esp their busses... their depots are actual parking garages of busses. Articulated busses being on the 4th floor of a parking garage is wild.
If it wasn’t for Aerosoft etc we wouldn’t have had Chicago or London etc in OMSI2 .
it’s only what sells and ‘tests the water’
Bus Sim 18,21 is the opposite, being American bus(es)oriented solely and fictitious maps- yet Astragon are German!! even if it is crap! Lol.
