2. X:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\OMSI 2\Addons [for payware DLC]
For those wondering in future, the pdf "OMSI2_QuickRef" has the shortcuts 👍
The entire OMSI 2 manual for all the base game buses and functions and timetables is there also.
Check addon folder as well, as sometimes dlc chucks stuff in there.
Did you get the map?
It’s also in there.
Showing you chronological route changes to routes.
I got he wife to print it, she has her own business- along with all the other manuals that come with DLC! You have been warned ;)
First I’ve I’ve had a folder in 44 years! All buses (and maps) you buy have setvars, bus operational manuals, routes/time tables etc.
it’s like being a car mechanic again 🤣
Of course we are all different regarding games. But Omsi 2 is my all time fav driving sim along with my G29, which I actually bought specifically for it (my first wheel in over 30c yrs of PC gaming)
The learning curve can be quite steep regarding different currency, tickets, methods- receipt, handing them a ticket etc. it took me a while to eventually switch over to advanced ticket sales and I love it!
It honestly is so realistic.
I start routes 10 mins or so before so I can warm up the bus, set lights etc.
What I love doing is just before my timetable starts is drive up to the first stop, open the doors and then input the IBIS and watch them pile in! 😂
Some buses creak when you turn the engine off at the end of a route, I like to do return routes. Look at the timetable. Sometimes the display is the only thing you need to change the timetable already has reversed.
I have now 280 buses some with manual gears, that is fun! Some with antiquated heating systems or signs you put up in windows. There’s so much variety in OMSi that I am still finding new routes on chronological days.
I expanded the game a lot, buying Navigation (GPS) which is just sublime.

I also bought Bus Company simulator

This massively enhances gameplay by throwing in a career for you to buy/sell buses, inc online secondhand. Buy maps and earn licenses and money by driving smoothly, safely and on time so your passengers don’t complain.
Buses suffer random failures based on age and service. So sometimes you may lose all lighting internally, or doors may malfunction. If you have collision enabled then you can break indicators or headlights. You pay for refuelling, get the bus washed at your depots or switch to another bus you own while one is getting repaired.
It also has speed cameras that fine you! You can do shifts or solo runs and let BCS generate the IBIS/Ziel details on a HUD view so that you can input at your leisure, rather than try and remember or write stuff down!
It’s a very simple interface and very clever with mini apps you can drag on the screen to show when stop bells are rung, speed, distance to next stop, temp internal and external. Ahead/behind schedule and lots more.
Basically.
If you bought
Omsi Nav, which works on all maps
BCS which has its own Nav and all features above
AUXI which adds even more to the game, inc real weather, you can change all bus skins without quitting and reloading, bus announcements for buses that don’t have them. Adjust the drivers seat FULLY to what you want and more apps , like throttle/brake position etc.
Lastly, Enhanced Weather. Which means you can literally make ANY custom climate you want for any map or use default. Fog,snow, thunderstorms, icy roads -bus skids/lockups you have to use ASR switch!, blizzards, snow on roads/pavements, different cloud types, any temp you want etc.
You have more features than any simulation of its kind ever made in one package.
The problem with OMSI, being 32bit, is it was “born too early”. That’s the saddest part. Decades ahead of it’s time. So it does require ‘baby sitting’ and understanding that it ain’t going to use anymore than 4GB RAM..
Btw, all of the above is purchase on steam or Fanatical[www.fanatical.com] CDKeys[www.cdkeys.com]

Lastly, you have an iPad/Google? Then this becomes your IBIS of sorts. It can open doors, give tickets, see your speed and give change and runs alongside OMSI 2 when you start it after.
it’s free
