Real Weather in OMSI 2

There is an option in OMSI 2 where you can choose what type of weather you want including Real Weather.

How does Real Weather work in OMSI? I can't find anything related to it in the manual. I noticed you can select Real Weather from a particular city like Berlin or Manchester.

Does OMSI connect to online weather servers and downloads the latest weather to your PC and updates every few minutes like in FSX?

What weather servers is OMSI collecting the data from? How is the weather updated?

Omsi uses the ICAO-Code from the Airports (if your nearest Airport isn't in the list, search for it's code on wikipedia).

I don't know what server, but you always will get the weather-data collected by the airports.

The weather gets updated every 5 minutes.

Thanks Oblong. Yea,..I noticed in the list of cities that for London I see the airport code EGLL for Heathrow.

I have observed that since recently that the real weather feature isn't available anymore. When I click on a city the default temperatures remain and no change is seen in the weather. Could someone please tell me what could be wrong? Thanks
